Randstad Education is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the heart of Braintree. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-connected Essex town within a school that prides itself on a broad and balanced STEM curriculum.

Role Overview
  • Position: Science Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
  • Location: Braintree, Essex
  • Pay Rate: £140 - £170 per day (Weekly PAYE)
  • Contract: Full-Time / Long-term
  • Start Date: January 2026
Teaching in Braintree
  • Vibrant Science Department: Join a forward-thinking team that utilises modern technology and practical learning to engage students.
  • Curriculum Focus: Lead lessons across all three sciences, with a strong emphasis on the AQA/Edexcel GCSE specifications.
  • Practical Learning: Make use of spacious, fully-equipped laboratories to deliver high-impact experiments, from investigating chemical rates of reaction to exploring the laws of physics.
  • Accessibility: Ideally located for teachers commuting from Chelmsford, Colchester, or even North London, with excellent road (A120/A131) and rail links.
Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide clear, actionable feedback.
  • Work closely with the Science Technician team to ensure all practical equipment is prepared and utilised safely.

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A strong degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related Science field.
  • Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and a positive, collaborative approach.
