Science teacher ( FTE 0.8)

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a specialist Science teacher to join a secondary academy in Oldham.

This is a long‑term supply teaching role from as soon as possible until July 2026.

The Role

Teacher of Science to GCSE

Four days a week – 8.15am to 3pm (no timetable on a Thursday)

Innovative teacher able to adapt lessons to the changing needs of students.

A focus on the practical study of science in a creative but safe teaching environment is essential.

The academy is interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS Teachers and QTLS teachers with experience of teaching children aged 11‑16.

11‑16 academy in Oldham.

State‑of‑the‑art facilities for teaching and learning.

Part of a successful multi‑academy trust supporting primary and secondary schools across England.

Good Ofsted January 2023 – The atmosphere in school is calm and focused. Learning is not usually disrupted by misbehaviour. Pupils have positive relationships with their teachers and feel well supported by them.

  • Hold QTS status or QTLS or ECT status.
