Job Vacancy: Science Teacher & General Cover

Are you a versatile educator with a passion for Science? We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Science Teacher to join our team for a focused seven‑week placement. This role offers an excellent balance of subject‑specialist teaching and general cover, providing variety and a consistent work block for the first half of the spring term.

The Role

This position is designed to provide stability for our students during a scheduled absence. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Science Specialist Teaching: Delivering engaging Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons (KS3/KS4).
  • General Supply Cover: Providing high-quality classroom management and supervision across other departments as required.
  • Planning & Assessment: Maintaining the high standards of the Science department through effective marking and lesson preparation.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs/NQTs are encouraged to apply).
  • A degree in a Science‑related subject or significant experience teaching the Science curriculum.
  • Adaptability: The ability to move between subjects and year groups with confidence.
  • Classroom Management: Proven ability to maintain a productive learning environment.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
