Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Premises Manager to join a welcoming school in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong facilities management skills and a hands-on approach to maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented learning environment.

At Pertemps Education, we specialise in recruiting non-classroom support staff, including Administrators, HR, Finance, and Facilities professionals. We are proud to work in close partnership with a group of schools across East London.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as a keyholder, ensuring the premises are opened and secured each day
  • Supervising and coordinating contractors and the facilities team
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Ensuring heating, lighting, and alarm systems are operational
  • Maintaining health and safety standards across the site
  • Monitoring site security and cleanliness
  • Managing stock levels and ordering equipment as required
About You
  • Reliable and self-motivated individual with previous experience in a similar caretaker or premises management role (school experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of site maintenance, security, and health & safety practices
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check registered with the Update Service
  • Immediate availability to interview and start
