Job description

Ss Peter & Paul’s Catholic Primary School is part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust and employs staff through the Board of Governors.

Address: Northumbrian Road, Cramlington, Northumberland, NE23 6DB.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Contract: Fixed term until 31st December 2026.

Term time only plus 9 additional days as confirmed by the school (2 hours per day: either 6:30 am‑8:30 am or 3:30 pm‑5:30 pm).

Living Wage supplement: In addition to the hourly rate, this post will receive the Living Wage supplement to bring the hourly rate up to a minimum of £13.45 an hour.

Job Overview

As part of our wider school team, you will have responsibility for the overall cleanliness and security of the school classrooms and site, maintaining supplies of cleaning materials, and working with other members of the site team to keep the site to a standard expected by leadership and management.

Job Requirements

• Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties
• Ability to manage time effectively in order to carry out day-to-day operations and assist with the smooth running of the school
• Awareness of the relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working around children and young people
