Overview

School Chef - Margate - £18 per hour

Are you passionate about creating nutritious, delicious meals for young people? We're looking for a dedicated School Chef to join a vibrant school community in Margate.

Location: Margate
Pay: £18 per hour
Hours: Term-time only, Monday to Friday (daytime hours)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals for students and staff
• Plan menus in line with dietary requirements and school guidelines
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment
• Manage food stock and place orders as needed
• Work closely with kitchen assistants and school staff

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a chef or cook (school or catering experience preferred)
• A passion for food and nutrition
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• A positive, can-do attitude and a love for working with children
