What skills and experience we're looking for

You will head up our friendly school catering team working with the catering assistant to ensure the smooth and efficient provision of school lunches. You will be required to oversee the production and service of our on-site catering provision, ensuring high standards of food service and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for compliance with legislative requirements and school catering policies, this will include food safety, kitchen hygiene, healthy eating and the safeguarding of children. The role includes stock taking and ordering provisions, serving the meals, washing up, general cleaning and setting up the hall for dining.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

• Experience in a catering role, particularly in taking responsibility for a kitchen catering for large groups
• Enthusiasm for providing healthy, nutritious and delicious meals to the highest standard
• An understanding of the importance of allergies, food hygiene and compliance
• The skills required to complete stock control and produce purchasing efficiently
• Reliability
• A good understanding of the importance of confidentiality
