Overview
The Role Will Involve:
- Leading on the school’s financial management, working closely with the central finance team to oversee budgets, monitor expenditure, and ensure accurate and timely reporting to the Headteacher and Local Governing Body.
- Taking responsibility for the HR function, including recruitment processes, payroll preparation, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Overseeing health and safety compliance, making sure the school meets all statutory and safeguarding requirements.
- Providing high-level strategic support to the Headteacher as part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to whole-school planning and decision-making.
- Managing the school’s estates and facilities, ensuring the site is safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose.
- Leading and developing support staff, fostering a positive and efficient working culture.
- Acting as the key link between the school and the Central Academy Trust team, ensuring smooth coordination of all business support functions.
- Balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines and operational needs are met.
Qualifications
- A proven track record in school business management or similar operational leadership roles.
- Strong financial skills with the ability to manage complex budgets.
