Job summary

A community middle school in Taunton is seeking an individual to support inclusive practice by managing attendance monitoring and providing administrative support for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role requires 37.5 hours of work per week during term time, plus additional inset days. The salary is between £25,989 and £28,142 FTE. Purpose of the Role

To support inclusive practice across the school by:

  • Ensuring robust attendance monitoring and intervention.
  • Providing high-quality administrative support for SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
  • Coordinating statutory processes and maintaining accurate records and compliance.
  • Enabling timely, data‑informed decisions so pupils with barriers to attendance and learning receive effective support.

Working hours – 37.5 hours per week
Working weeks: Term time plus 2‑5 inset days

Salary: Grade 13 (point 6-11 range) £25,989 - £28,142 FTE.
