Salary: £26,337 – £28,835 per year (Pro-rata for part time and sessional). Hours: 27.5 per week, 40 weeks sessional. Monday to Thursday 08:50‑15:20 and Friday 08:50‑12:20.

Lorne Primary School is multicultural and diverse school community in Leith Edinburgh. We currently have 7 classes from Primary 1 – Primary 7 and a full‑time Nursery class.

We are currently looking for a School Administrator to join our team effective from 1st February 2026, when our current administrator retires. This position is in a busy school office, and you will be dealing with parents face‑to‑face and over the telephone on a daily basis. Experience of using SEEMIS, Oracle & Parentpay is desirable. Experience of the school environment would be advantageous.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. The candidate must provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
