A healthcare organization in North Wales seeks Band 2 Health Care Support Workers to support a diverse group of patients, assisting with nursing tasks and maintaining documentation. Ideal candidates will have some experience in care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. Training and mentorship will be provided. The role involves engaging in multi-disciplinary approaches, and applicants proficient in Welsh are encouraged, though English speakers are also welcomed.
Responsible for carrying out delegated nursing tasks to a varied group of patients some of which may have physical and/or mental disabilities or be suffering from illness i.e bathing, toileting, feeding, last offices. To assist with intentional rounding and providing pressure care to patients, and maintaindocumentation. Inform nursing staff of any issues or changes in patients condition. To recognise and respond to any changes in patient's behaviour/condition and report to Registered Nurse at all times. To recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
The Surgical Assessment Unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd requires Band 2 Health Care Support Workers. The successful applicant will join a supportive and dedicated team. The successful applicant should have some experience in care, preferably in the hospital environment. They should have excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team as well as having initiative and organisational skills. Training, mentorship and support will be provided to the successful candidate. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
