Overview
The SAP Sectors Consulting team are technology focused professionals who work together to deliver KPMG Powered Enterprise through a standardised delivery model, driving professional delivery to clients. You will work in challenging, purposeful and dynamic SAP transformations with teams using their functional knowledge and experience in Warehouse Management, coupled with their expertise in S/4HANA and cloud applications (e.g., SAP EWM) to lead and deliver client programmes across a range of industries, with a heavy focus on supporting pre-sales activities and developing improvements, focusing on SAP innovations and extensions to Powered Enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Lead the functional design, configuration, and implementation of SAP WM and/or EWM modules within S/4HANA environments.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex warehousing and logistics requirements into effective SAP solutions, ensuring seamless integration with other modules and adherence to SAP best practices.
- Lead functional design, configuration, and implementation of SAP WM and/or EWM solutions, covering Inbound Processing, Outbound Processing, Internal Warehouse Movements, Physical Inventory, Yard Management, Cross-Docking, Kitting, and Value-Added Services (VAS).
- Conduct detailed requirements gathering workshops and fit-to-standard analysis with warehouse and logistics stakeholders to align SAP solutions with business needs and S/4HANA capabilities.
- Provide expert guidance on leveraging SAP S/4HANA innovations in Warehouse Management, including embedded analytics, Fiori apps, and integration with other supply chain solutions (e.g., TM, PP, QM).
- Design and optimize end-to-end warehouse processes within S/4HANA, ensuring seamless integration with other modules like MM, SD, PP, and QM.
- Oversee data migration strategies and activities related to WM/EWM master data and transactional data.
- Develop functional specifications for enhancements, integrations, and reports, working closely with technical teams.
- Provide training and support to end-users and key stakeholders, ensuring successful adoption of new SAP WM/EWM functionalities.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients on SAP WM/EWM-related matters, managing expectations and fostering strong client relationships.
- Supervise and coach junior staff to help them realise their full potential.
- Lead and support business development and sales initiatives, including bid and proposal support/presenting with our SAP clients.
- Extensive hands-on expertise in SAP WM and/or EWM configuration across core functionalities (e.g., Inbound/Outbound Processing, Internal Movements, Physical Inventory, Storage Unit Management, Handling Unit Management).
- Advise on technical integrations of SAP applications with other client and 3rd party tools/applications in the Warehouse Management process area.
- Position largely based from London Canary Wharf and Manchester, with 20 sites across the UK; flexibility for office, home, or part-time options available. If you need flexibility, register and discuss with our team.
- Proven experience with SAP Activate Methodology, including leading fit-to-standard workshops and identifying process improvements in warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of integration points between WM/EWM and other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, QM, FI/CO).
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps for enhanced user experience in warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of advanced warehouse concepts such as labor management, material flow systems (MFS), and integration with automated warehouse equipment is highly desirable.
- Understanding of different S/4HANA deployment options (on-premise, private cloud, public cloud) and their implications for WM/EWM functionalities.
- Experience: SAP ERP experience with focus on SAP WM/EWM, including significant experience with S/4HANA EWM.
- Completed at least 2 full lifecycle SAP WM/EWM implementations (design to go-live).
- Proven track record in leading functional teams, managing project phases, and delivering complex SAP WM/EWM solutions.
- Experience in leading customer workshops, gathering business requirements, and translating them into SAP functional designs.
- Ability to define functional business requirements and create detailed functional specifications for development.
- Experience in managing client expectations and fostering strong client relationships.
- Prior experience in a logistics, manufacturing, or retail industry setting with complex warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- SAP system design, build and deployment experience - 2+ full lifecycle implementations preferred.
- Ability to build strong client relationships based on subject matter expertise ensuring quality of delivery.
- Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to provide clarity to complex issues, and synthesize large volume of information.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and supporting multiple activities such as mentoring and capability knowledge transfer to enhance the practice.
- Team lead experience (on/offshore).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, team building, organisational and motivational skills. Experience of SAP in Manufacturing industries, Consumer Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical, Oil and Gas, or Retail.
- Experience of facilitating a design workshop and translating requirements into design.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with varying team members.
- Self-starter attitude and ability to work well within ambiguity.
- Support business development and sales initiatives including bid and proposal support with our SAP clients (comfortable presenting to C-Suite Stakeholders).
- Possess working knowledge of digital trends in Supply Chain (e.g., ESG, Industry 4.0, SCM Digital Solutions that integrate with SAP).
- Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and consulting skills, with the ability to articulate complex warehouse processes and SAP functionalities clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities, with keen attention to detail in configuration and process design.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, lead junior consultants, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Comfortable delivering presentations and facilitating workshops with client stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest SAP S/4HANA EWM innovations and industry trends.
