About the Role

Harrods are hiring a SAP Solution Lead (FICO), the position will report directly to the SAP Solution Owner, within the SAP function. The role will be accountable for the overall functional design and support of one or more of the functional domains across our internal facing SAP systems, including but not limited to S4/HANA, EWM, and CAR. To do this, they will work closely with the relevant business functions to ensure capabilities they are supporting meet the business needs.

The role is accountable for the overall functional design of one of more functional domains across the systems, ensuring our business processes are efficient, effective, and meet our agreed business requirements. This includes balancing competing or contradictory requirements from different business areas to ensure we achieve the optimal solution for the organisation, meeting our principle of maintaining a clean core whenever possible.

Working together with the Business Solutions team the Solution Lead will help prioritise and size work packages to support new business demand within their domain, work with the Solution Owner to determine whether it can be delivered within existing support agreements or should be tendered separately and support the delivery of any configuration or development necessary to enable the new capabilities. This work will be coordinated alongside any broader system upgrades or support packs, promoting adoption of new standard capabilities across our business functions to ensure our operations stay up to date with standard, best-practice ways or working.

You will have experience of configuring and supporting a major functional area, specifically finance (FICO), preferably related to SAP IS-Retail. You will have experience in managing support and projects, along with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to influence outcomes in an effective manner.

You will have experience of supporting 3rd Party AMS partners to ensure they are meeting agreed service delivery targets, including incident and problem management as well as minor enhancements and continuous improvement.

You will also have:

  • SAP development and support exposure, ideally both at mid-tier and enterprise levels.
  • Retail experience would be an advantage.
  • The ability to Establish and maintain critical business partnerships with the relevant teams across our Finance, and Retail teams to translate business requirements into SAP standard processes.
  • The ability to Champion adoption of SAP best-practice processes, continuously driving our design towards our clean core, fit-to-standard objective, ensuring we highlight where business processes should change to allow for more effective process adoption. This should include promoting the adoption of new capabilities as they're made available through new SAP releases and upgrades.
