Company Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Salesforce full-stack developer with experience in Java, Apex and RESTful API development for an exciting contract at our global client in the finance sector. The role involves designing scalable Salesforce solutions, building high quality integration's, and contributing to automated testing and CI/CD practices across development workflows.

Required Skills/Experience

• 5 years of development experience combining Salesforce (Apex, LWC, Visualforce) and Java.
• Strong experience in RESTful API design and backend service development.
• Hands‑on proficiency in OpenAPI (OAS) and API documentation in YAML.
• Strong understanding of unit testing approaches for both Salesforce and Java components.
• Practical expertise with GitLab, branching strategies, and code review workflows.
• Proven experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Familiarity with integration patterns, data modelling, and relational databases.
• Clear understanding of Salesforce best practices, platform limitations, and performance considerations.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Design and develop Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Build and maintain backend components using Java and related frameworks.
• Develop and document RESTful APIs, ensuring high performance, security and reusability.
• Create and maintain API specifications using OpenAPI Specification (OAS) / YAML.
• Build integration's between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs or custom integration frameworks.
• Write high‑quality, testable code using unit testing frameworks (Apex Test Classes, JUnit, Mockito).
• Manage version control, branching and code reviews using GitLab.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects and cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform performance optimisations within Salesforce and integrated components.
• Ensure adherence to Salesforce development best practices and compliance with governor limits.
