A leading sales and operations firm in the UK is seeking a Sales Operations Assistant. In this role, you will support the sales team by monitoring enquiries, managing tender portals, and preparing reports. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role and be proficient in MS applications. A driving licence and own transport are required. This position may involve occasional visits to other office locations.

Overview

Job Title: Sales Operations Assistant

Reports to: Group Proposals Manager

Location: Orbital Office in ST15 0QN

Occasional visits to other office locations may be required.

Primary Duties
  • Monitor group sales emails for new sales enquiries, updates for ongoing sales opportunities, purchase orders, any relevant emails and save / distribute as required.
  • Manage and monitor online tendering portals.
  • Liaise with proposals manager to assign and monitor bid deadline dates.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly sales forecast report to management team.
  • Set up quote folders, conduct initial review of tender document deliverables and prepare tender document deliverable list.
  • Act as point of contact for Sales Force CRM system and liaise with Group Sales Force CRM manager.
  • Support the sales team with generation of documentation, arranging meetings and booking meeting rooms etc.
  • Arrange, participate in and take minutes in sales, inter department and client in person and Teams meetings as necessary.
  • Support with the preparation and submission of documentation for pre-qualification questionnaires and sales bids, etc.
  • Liaison with customers / suppliers and partners in support of sales activities.
  • Comply with the company’s QHSE systems and support required updates as the business develops. Take and manage incoming telephone sales calls.
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Experienced and competent with the MS suite of applications inc. MS Teams.
  • Excellent communication skills across the sales team, departments and wider Group Divisions at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent prioritisation and management of workload to hit deadlines.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Full, driving licence and own transport.
