NEXT is recruiting a Sales Manager to join its Inverness Retail Park store, offering the opportunity to lead a team in a fast paced retail environment where people, performance, and customer experience sit at the centre of the business.
This is a demanding and rewarding leadership role, suited to someone who enjoys being hands on, thrives in a commercial setting, and takes pride in developing others. Every day will be different, and while the pace can be challenging, it is also highly rewarding for the right person.

You will work alongside your team, maintaining a visible and practical leadership style, ensuring that standards are high, stock processes are accurate, and the store operates safely and efficiently at all times. Clear and consistent communication will be a key part of the role, helping ensure everyone understands priorities and business needs as they evolve.
NEXT places people at the heart of what it does, and your ability to coach, motivate, and support your team will be critical to your success. From day one, the company invests in personal development, with flexible working options available where possible.

You are passionate about customers, people, and products, and you bring energy and commitment to everything you do. You have a strong commercial understanding and know how to create a great shopping experience that keeps customers coming back.
You work best in a results driven, fast paced environment and are comfortable adapting to change, bringing your team with you as priorities shift. You are a confident and calm communicator who can work naturally with people at all levels, even under pressure, and you are realistic, fair, and supportive in your expectations of others.
You are able to solve problems, make sound business decisions, challenge processes constructively, and generate new ideas that help move the business forward. You are confident handling people matters and can juggle multiple priorities, planning and organising your workload effectively.
This is a full time, permanent position based at Inverness Retail Park, with a starting salary from £25,702 per year.
NEXT offers a comprehensive benefits package including staff discounts across NEXT and selected partner brands, recognition and reward schemes, access to wellbeing support such as a digital GP service, life assurance, financial wellbeing tools, and discounted gym memberships and wellbeing apps.
