Overview

Job Title: Sales Manager. Salary: £50k base with car allowance. Location: Birmingham, West Midlands. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to operate from Birmingham. You will ideally come from a high-end joinery or construction background and be responsible for overseeing a small sales team and supporting estimating.

Responsibilities
  • Manage sales and advertising to generate quality enquiries and orders.
  • Drive business development aligned with company goals.
  • Oversee the Estimating Department’s workload, staff, and processes.
  • Support tender discussions, negotiations, and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts Team on enquiries and pricing approaches.
  • Manage order databases and occasionally take direct responsibility for contracts.
Reporting Structure
  • Reports to: Managing Director
  • Works with: Management Council and Commercial Manager when managing contracts.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience in managing a sales team and estimating activities.
  • Background in high-end joinery or construction is preferred.
  • Ability to support tender discussions, pricing strategies, and contract management.
