Job Title: Sales Engineer Building Industry

Industry Sector: Construction, Formwork & Falsework, Climbing Systems, Shoring, Groundwork, Temporary Works Construction Hire, Trenching, Pilling, Propping, Civil Engineering, Specialist Formwork & Falsework Sub-Contractors, reinforced concrete sub contractors and Main Contractors

Area to be covered: South

Remuneration: Up to GBP60,000 + GBP15,000 Bonus

Benefits: Hybrid Car (or allowance of GBP600 per month) + full benefits package

The role of the Sales Engineer Building industry will involve:

  • Technical field sales position, selling predominantly the sale of formwork and falsework equipment and climbing systems
  • Smaller amount of time selling the hire of formwork and falsework equipment and climbing systems, minimum 5 month projects
  • Proactively stimulating demand for equipment with predominantly reinforced concrete sub contractors, but also main contractors and other specialist formwork & falsework sub-contractors
  • New business development role
  • GBP2m revenue target
  • Projects from GBP30,000-GBP40,000 up to GBP1m+
  • Glenigan leads provider, plus it will be expected you will have a network of contacts from within the market
  • A proportion of time will be spent on construction sites
  • Utilising a team of qualified engineers for technical support
Ideal applicant
  • Construction/ building industry hire or sale field sales backgrounds
  • Ideally sold to reinforced concrete sub contractors
  • Understanding of formwork and falsework
  • Would suit field sales experience from within a; Hilti, Wurth, Sunbelt etc.
  • Construction site experience, may consider on the tools experience looking for field sales role
  • Strong new business skills
  • Formwork or falsework technical field sales experience not essential as full product training will be provided
  • Energetic, drive, passion and enthusiastic
  • Mix of construction and engineering background preferred
