We are working with a specialist automation and system integration company based in Gloucester, delivering world‑class solutions to global blue‑chip clients across sectors such as Food, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, E‑commerce, and Automotive. They are seeking an Automation Sales Engineer to join their dynamic, experienced team.

Responsibilities
  • Generate sales of bespoke automation projects and provide technical and commercial evaluation of enquiries.
  • Develop conceptual system designs in collaboration with the CKF team, using 2D/3D CAD and simulation principles.
  • Lead technical review meetings, form relationships with key suppliers, and guide customers on potential automation solutions.
  • Produce proposals, simulations, tender documents, and cost estimates aligned with customer specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to gather accurate information for system solutions and support contract scrutiny and negotiations.
  • Support marketing activities, weekly sales meetings, and provide status updates to senior management.
About You
  • Qualified to at least HNC level in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with bespoke systems, robotics, and conveying systems.
  • Confident, technically and commercially capable professional with strong IT and communication skills.
  • Experienced in solution‑based selling and presenting to global blue‑chip clients.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and commercially astute, with a passion for automation technologies.
