With 70 dealer outlets and growing, our experienced team is responsible for delivering premium care to MAXUS fleet, SME and personal customers.

Due to continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Director to join our Maxus sales team.

Job purpose

Reporting to the Director of Harris Maxus, the Sales Director, is responsible for overseeing and managing the sales activities of fleet vehicles on a national level.

The primary focus of this role is to develop and implement effective strategies to drive sales growth and build and maintain strong relationships with fleet customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to achieve revenue targets and support the overall business objectives.

The Role
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to increase sales revenue and market share in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and providing excellent customer service to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities. This includes networking and attending industry events.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in customer requirements to adapt sales strategies and stay ahead in the market.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts, monitor sales performance, and provide regular reports to senior management on progress towards sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Pricing and Contract Negotiations: Work closely with the finance team to develop competitive pricing strategies and negotiate favourable contracts with customers.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create effective sales collateral and promotional materials that resonate with target customers.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legal requirements pertaining to sales activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales processes, streamline operations, and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Have a full clean driving license.
  • Have demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in sales or related B2B sales roles with a successful track record in achieving sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of building and maintaining fruitful relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales processes, pricing strategies, and the automotive industry.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to drive informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales-related software tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Knowledge & experience of the EV market and routes to sale.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent MS Office and presentation skills.
  • This is a role that requires significant travel and a flexible approach to working hours.
