Sales Development Representative

You’ll be the first point of contact in our sales process, identifying and qualifying prospects, sparking interest in our Employee Engagement and Customer Loyalty solutions, and setting the stage for our Business Development team to shine.

Salary: £27k - £32k (£40K OTE) per annum subject to experience

Core Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be on generating qualified leads and scheduling meetings for the sales team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for driving business growth.

  • Conduct research to identify potential clients within target industries and verticals. Utilise various tools and channels to gather information and qualify leads based on predefined criteria.
  • Implement outbound prospecting strategies, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and other creative methods, to generate new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimise lead generation efforts and maximise conversion rates.
  • Initiate contact with potential clients, communicate our value proposition effectively, and build rapport through compelling conversations.
  • Understand client pain points, challenges, and objectives to position our solutions appropriately.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to determine the fit between the prospect's requirements and our solutions.
  • Set up qualified meetings for the sales team, ensuring a smooth handoff and providing comprehensive background information.
  • Work closely with other departments to align on target accounts, provide timely updates on prospect interactions, and gather feedback to refine prospecting strategies.
  • Accurately document all prospect interactions, activities, and information in our Hubspot CRM system.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and our product offerings. Continuously enhance product knowledge and effectively articulate the unique value proposition to prospects.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience in a sales development role, preferably in our industry, software-as-a-service (SaaS) or a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects and build rapport over phone, email, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills to understand prospect needs and tailor messaging accordingly.
  • Self‑motivated and target‑driven, with the ability to work independently and proactively identify opportunities.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales prospecting tools. We use Hubspot!
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
