Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) position is ideal for an individual who is looking to start/grow their sales career. As an SDR, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. You’ll work closely with Account Executives to build pipeline, engage prospects, and set high-quality sales appointments. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role ideal for someone who is curious, driven, and eager to develop commercial acumen. You’ll use a mix of outbound channels including phone, email, video, and social media to connect with decision‑makers and introduce them to how Thomson Reuters solutions can support their business goals. Alongside generating sales pipeline, you will develop your commercial skillset in preparation for future opportunities in Account Management.

About The Role
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to support territory planning and pipeline generation
  • Generate sales meetings by prospecting, outreaching and engaging Tax, Finance or Legal professionals within your defined territory
  • Conduct account and person level research, identifying industry trends, business challenges, and competitive intelligence to create credible and relevant messaging
  • Execute multi‑channel outreach campaigns through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, and video messaging
  • Understand and articulate the Thomson Reuters portfolio of solutions to address client needs
  • Qualify leads by identifying customer needs or challenges, anticipating objections, and spotting new logo or cross‑sell opportunities
  • Participate in ongoing sales and product training sessions to develop your commercial skillset
  • Maintain accurate records and activity tracking in Salesforce (CRM)
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous internship or work experience in sales, customer service, or a related field
  • Comfortable with outbound calling and engaging senior professionals
  • Tech‑savvy and open to using AI and sales tools & technology
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities
  • Resilient, goal‑oriented, and collaborative team player
  • Experience with Microsoft applications and/or Salesforce.com (CRM) is a plus
