Sales Development Representative (SDR) Ecommerce SaaS

Location: Brighton, UK (4 days in office / 1 day remote)

Salary: £35,000 base + £10,000 OTE

The company is a fast-growing ecommerce SaaS provider delivering a unified platform that enables online retailers to manage and scale their operations efficiently. The solution supports multi-channel ecommerce businesses by connecting webstores, marketplaces, inventory, fulfilment and automation into a single system. The platform is used by a broad range of ecommerce brands across the UK and Europe.

As part of continued commercial growth, the company is expanding its sales function and hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support pipeline generation and future revenue growth.

Role Overview

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for identifying, engaging and qualifying potential customers within the ecommerce sector. The role sits at the top of the sales funnel and focuses on creating high-quality opportunities for the Account Executive team. This position offers a clearly defined progression pathway into a closing AE role based on performance and capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and qualify ecommerce SaaS opportunities through outbound calls, emails and social outreach
  • Manage inbound leads and convert them into qualified sales opportunities
  • Research target accounts to tailor messaging and improve engagement rates
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity and pipeline records within the CRM
  • Work closely with Account Executives to ensure effective handover of qualified opportunities
  • Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly activity and qualification targets
Required Experience And Skills
  • Previous experience selling ecommerce SaaS or related technology solutions
  • Strong outbound prospecting skills with confidence engaging senior ecommerce stakeholders
  • Clear and professional communication skills with a consultative sales approach
  • Self-motivated, resilient and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ambition to progress into an Account Executive role
