Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all relevant Standard Operating Procedures, sales, and all other policies & procedures are understood and adhered to, and that mandatory training requirements are kept up to date.
  2. Implement Vistry's commitment to delivering excellent customer service by advocating the customer journey and consistently exceeding customer expectations.
  3. Assist with internal or external audits as required, aligning with Vistry Values of ICQ.
  4. Use Vistry systems to perform your role effectively, ensuring clarity of information records for business needs.
  5. Represent Vistry professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Proactively seek out prospective sales and follow up all enquiries via telephone and marketing literature to maximize business opportunities.
  7. Manage and implement new sales initiatives, negotiating with customers to achieve the best sales outcomes.
  8. Maintain awareness of local market and economic conditions.
  9. Travel to designated developments for pre-booked customer appointments.
  10. Maintain detailed knowledge of house types, build progress, and availability to assist customer decision-making.
  11. Be familiar with purchase assistance schemes, alternative sites, and house types to offer tailored options to customers.
  12. Proactively sell customer extras and manage reservations to drive additional profit.
  13. Respond to cancellations by attempting to 'save' reservations or renegotiating, understanding cancellation reasons, and offering suitable alternatives.
  14. Collaborate with site teams to understand build progress and provide customers with relevant information.
  15. Coordinate with colleagues to ensure clear communication of the sales process to all stakeholders.
  16. Take responsibility for company property, equipment, and presentation standards across sites.
  17. Maintain the sales environment, including show homes, in line with brand and company standards.

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in a customer-facing role, delivering under pressure.
  • Experience in lead generation and sales through telephone-based business development.
  • Proven success in completing the sales process.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
  • Excellent IT skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong negotiation, sales, and communication skills.
  • Good organizational and planning abilities.
  • Patience and calmness under pressure.
  • Friendly, trustworthy, and professional demeanor.
  • Comfortable with multi-channel communication.
  • Ability to handle complaints and difficult situations.
  • Interest in property and the housing market.
  • Flexibility in duties and working hours.
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel to all sales sites and work weekends.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs / GCE or equivalent including Mathematics and English (C grade or above).
  • A Levels in any discipline.
