Overview

Glan Rhyd Surgery is seeking 2 or 3 motivated General Practitioners to join our friendly team in Beaufort, Ebbw Vale, South Wales. We currently have a permanent 6-session GP vacancy and a 1-year fixed-term position for approximately 10 sessions.

With a practice list size of 10,300 and a multidisciplinary team, we offer a great work–life balance with variable start and finish times. We provide opportunities for training and development, support your special interests, and offer a competitive sessional rate. The practice is an experienced GP training site and has successfully recruited newly qualified GPs, with a varied skill mix to support transitions.

Responsibilities

As a General Practitioner at Glan Rhyd Surgery, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to our local community. You will:

• Provide medical services to the practice population as an autonomous practitioner, delivering high standards of clinical care in line with contract requirements.
• Adhere to GMC standards for good medical practice and contribute to effective practice management.
• Maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support, mentor, and supervise other healthcare professionals within the organisation and be an integral part of the general practice team.

Other Requirements

• Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check – post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975; a DBS submission is required.
