Job summary

A leading research institute in Greater London is seeking a proactive Safety Advisor to support high-quality cancer research through expert guidance and policy implementation. The ideal candidate will have a BSc in a relevant science discipline and a Health and Safety qualification. Key responsibilities include advising laboratory researchers, liaising with regulatory bodies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Qualifications

  • A BSc in a science discipline or equivalent experience.
  • A relevant Health and Safety qualification.
  • Experience working to Containment Level 2 standards.
  • Knowledge of GM regulations and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Advise laboratory researchers and implement safety policies.
  • Act as Departmental Safety Officer.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Support safe laboratory operations and management.
  • Deliver safety inductions and training sessions.

Education

BSc in a science discipline (preferably Biological)
