• Hold a current professional registration e.g. Registered General Nurse, Registered Midwife, District Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Practice Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, Registered Allied Health Professional
• Have experience within the last two years of working directly in multi‑agency child safeguarding and/or adult safeguarding processes.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge across the range of procedures and practices in the field of safeguarding enabling the post holder to provide specialist safeguarding advice to managers, professionals and colleagues.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills are essential to ensure the appropriate representation of North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust in public arenas, including court and case conferencing reporting.
• The ability to represent North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust Safeguarding Team in external safeguarding meetings as appropriate.

You will take the lead in providing supervision, training, specialist advice and support related to safeguarding adults, safeguarding children, Prevent and domestic abuse. You will contribute to developing the skills of the frontline practitioners, particularly in relation to assessment of safeguarding risk, immediate interventions, partnership working and report writing.
