A leading healthcare institution in Oxford seeks a Safeguarding Children Named Nurse. This role demands expertise and provides specialist support for safeguarding children. Responsibilities include collaborating with child protection teams, assisting in risk assessments, and offering clinical advice on maltreatment. Qualified candidates should be registered nurses with relevant postgraduate experience in safeguarding practices. A competitive salary of £47,810 to £54,710 is offered, pro rata, within an organization focused on compassionate excellence.

The post holder will demonstrate a high level of expertise in relation to safeguarding children and provide specialist advice, education, supervision and support to health professionals.
The post holder is able to work autonomously making high level decisions and work closely with partner agencies to develop a seamless service for children and their families.
This post will be responsible for contributing to the ongoing development of clinical practice, research, audit and the development of policies, protocols and guidelines to contribute to service developments in collaboration with multi-disciplinary colleagues.
The post supports the Head of Safeguarding & Safeguarding Children Operational Manager, working in partnership with the Safeguarding Team and Named Doctors to ensure comprehensive and robust arrangements are in place for safeguarding children and young people across the OUH.
