Job description

The SaaS Architect will be a hands‑on architect role and a key player in the design process, mentoring team members, driving solutions and advocating best practice. Reporting to the CTO you will shape the technical roadmap, take ownership of customer problems and find solutions that fit our platform and stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud architectures for our multi‑tenant SaaS platform; aligning to our product roadmaps.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring SaaS solutions are secure. Compliance includes SOC2 and ISO 27001 accreditations.
• Design and understand integration with customer networks and software products.
• Develop and maintain detailed high‑quality design documentation, working with internal and client teams.
• Work with vendors to create stacks that meet the platform goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud architecture principles and standards.
• Contribute to the ISMS security framework and develop related policies.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices.
• Support and contribute to sprint team goals.
• Align to projects to provide architecture and cloud support.
• Take ownership of customer problems and facilitate solutions across business areas.
• Uphold security best practices to protect systems, data, and people.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years design experience on cloud systems, multi‑tenant Saa.
• In‑depth knowledge of cloud computing technologies, architecture, and best practices.
• Experience designing and operating environments across public clouds, with Azure preferred.
• Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Functions, API Management, Postgres, VPN, PrivateLink.
• Experience with WAFs (Cloudflare preferred) and runtime / workload protection practices.
• Proficiency in compute, storage, databases, analytics, networking, security, backup and disaster recovery.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with IaC tools; hands‑on experience with Terraform preferred.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain complex problems to stakeholders and developers.
• Collaboration in a team environment.
• Previous SaaS platform experience expected.
