Responsibilities
  • As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be at the heart of operational policing — servicing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles to the highest standards. From routine maintenance to fitting advanced ICT, radio, and role-specific equipment, your work will directly impact the efficiency and readiness of our frontline teams.
  • You’ll also provide expert technical support and advice to colleagues.
  • You’ll take ownership of a specialist area within the workshop, offering guidance and sharing your knowledge.
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and complies with Ministry of Transport regulations.

You Must Have

Vetting and Medical

Please be aware that, as a condition of your appointment, you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). There is a minimum 3-year UK residency requirement for Recruitment Vetting, and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be required to undergo a medical assessment.
