A unique opportunity for a qualified and experienced Early Years Educator to manage a Baby Room within a large, newly renovated nursery. The Room Manager will be a knowledgeable and confident leader, working closely with colleagues and the Nursery Manager to provide a loving, caring, and stimulating environment that delivers the highest standard of childcare and promotes development.
Room Leadership: Manage the day-to-day operation of the baby room, ensuring the highest standards of care and learning are maintained.
Curriculum Delivery: Lead the team to plan and deliver excellent quality early years provision, with a child-centred approach that creates unique and exciting opportunities.
Safeguarding & Welfare: Actively safeguard and promote the health, safety, and welfare of all children in line with statutory requirements (e.g., Keeping Children Safe in Education).
Team Management: Inspire, mentor, and lead the room team, providing effective coaching and support. Induct and train staff to ensure high‑quality practice.
Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships with children, colleagues, parents, and carers to promote cohesive learning.
Ethos & Values: Deliver and maintain the nursery's ethos, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and integrity.
Qualification: Must hold at least NVQ Level 3 or higher in Early Years Education (or equivalent Diploma of Higher Education).
Experience: Previous nursery experience (2 years preferred) and management/supervisory experience (1 year preferred).
Skills: Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and lead a team.
Commitment: Genuine desire to provide supportive and trusting relationships and uphold a child-centred ethos.
Compliance: Appointment is subject to a successful enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
