Dakota is a growing UK-based lifestyle brand, known for its stylish hotels, bustling brasserie Grills and upscale cocktail bars. We have expanded from two boutique hotels in South Queensferry and Glasgow to prime city‑centre locations across Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, with Manchester Airport coming soon.
Responsibilities
- Deep clean guest bedrooms and en‑suite bathrooms, make beds and detail all surfaces to deliver an immaculately clean and welcoming space.
- Carry out tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, polishing, mopping, and lifting items including duvets.
- Take action notes on guest preferences and requests to personalise stays (e.g., provide firm pillows, set up a cot).
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of safe chemical handling guidelines and use cleaning equipment such as steamers.
- Follow health and safety procedures closely, especially those relating to waste handling and manual handling.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year working experience in a cleaning role, strongly preferred.
- Proactive mindset and ability to work at pace, with a keen eye for detail.
- Self‑driven, able to work alone in guest bedrooms and manage tasks independently.
- Enthusiastic individual who promotes a culture of positivity.
- Task oriented with pride in work and attention to detail.
- Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of the business.
- Demonstrated research of Dakota and a genuine desire to join the team.
Job Details
The pay rate is £12.50 per hour, paid hourly and on a weekly basis. This permanent contract requires a minimum of 18 hours per week, working any three days out of seven, including weekends.
