Overview

Mobile / Roadside Vehicle Technician - Stevenage

Location: You will have a geographical area based on where you live so this isn’t crucial. This opportunity is covering the Stevenage area.

Salary: £48,720 basic plus overtime (paid at time and a half, which is £35 per hour). Overall earnings can be as high as £57,000 depending on how much time you’re willing to do.

Hours: 40-hour working week with the earliest start time 6am and latest finish time 2am. Rota is posted 14 days prior to shifts taking place and can change with up to 72 hours notice.

Responsibilites

• Working closely with the breakdown team to attend breakdowns and diagnose issues.
• Attending to the vehicle to get it back on the road or returning it to the workshop as needed.
• Identifying problems and advising the customer on the vehicle’s issues.
• Vehicle servicing and general maintenance including electrical and diagnostics.
• Providing exceptional customer service as the face of the business.

Requirements

• Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician preferred, but not essential; minimum Level 2 qualification required.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Strong all-round technical experience – maintenance, electrical, and diagnostic capabilities.
