Mobile Vehicle Technician

Location: you will have a geographical area based on where you live so this isn't crucial. This opportunity is covering the Coventry area.

Salary: £48,720 basic plus overtime (Paid at time and a half with is £35 per hour). Overall earnings can be as high as £57,000 depending on how much time you're willing to do.

Hours: this is a 40‑hour working week with the earliest start time 6am and the latest finish time 2am. Rota is posted 14 days prior to shifts taking place and can change with up to 72 hours' notice.

Role Overview

• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

Requirements

• Level 2‑qualified Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Technician (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within the vehicle workshop or working as a Mobile Vehicle Technician.
• A full UK driving licence – no more than 7 points or bans on the licence.
• Demonstrated technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
