Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of experience in a workshop or mobile technician environment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.

Roadside Technician

Location: Barnsley/Doncaster
Salary: Up to £35,000 basic + bonus & overtime | £53,000
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Roadside Technician to join our client's team covering the Barnsley/Doncaster area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys problem‑solving and working independently in a mobile role. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle faults including mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues

• Deliver outstanding customer service by clearly communicating repair options and solutions
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised mobile workspace
• Record all work completed accurately using company systems

Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of experience in a workshop or mobile technician environment
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 penalty points (no disqualifications)
