Job description

Risk Engineer - Property and Business Interruption, Bournemouth

This role is available on a part-time, job-share, and full-time basis. It is a home-based position in South UK, with travel required to customer sites across London and the Home Counties. The position is an essential car user (ECU) role, including a company car allowance. The closing date for applications is Friday, 29th August 2025.

The role involves working with corporate, real estate, and international clients to provide tailored risk engineering solutions. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided to help the successful candidate develop into an established Account Engineer.

Responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementing customer service strategies to reduce losses and improve risk management.
  • Conducting desktop and on-site assessments aligned with technical guidelines.
  • Generating reports, benchmarking, and conducting customer service reviews.
  • Managing risk improvement actions proactively.
  • Supporting business development efforts and contributing to thought leadership.
  • Delivering risk engineering programs and providing technical support for large projects.
  • Engaging regularly with business partners in London.
Candidate requirements:
  • Experience in property loss prevention, including Business Interruption and Natural Hazards, with a willingness to upskill in Fire Protection.
  • Experience assessing high-rise buildings.
  • Experience managing customer accounts and stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent (desirable).
