Retrofit Consultant

Salary: 45,000- 60,000 + 10% Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits
Location: Cardiff (with national travel)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Retrofit Consultant. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Cardiff, with travel across the UK to coordinate retrofit works.

Role Overview

You'll work closely with clients to plan and deliver decarbonisation projects, acting as a trusted advisor on funding, compliance, and best practice. You'll oversee Retrofit Assessors delivering PAS2035 services nationwide and represent NetZero Collective at events, meetings, and within industry forums.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support clients to map their decarbonisation journey.
  • Provide funding advice and build strong client relationships.
  • Drive business development, especially in social housing and local authorities.
  • Oversee Retrofit Assessors delivering PAS2035 services nationwide.
  • Act as a Retrofit Coordinator, managing projects from start to finish.
  • Represent NetZero Collective at meetings and events.
  • Manage systems, databases, and quality management processes.
  • Demonstrate expertise in building services, especially heating and ventilation.
  • Work independently and proactively, with strong project management and attention to detail.
Desired Experience
  • Hands-on experience delivering retrofit works in domestic settings.
  • Experience working with domestic refurbishment clients.
  • Understanding of construction industry structure and project roles.
  • Building energy modelling knowledge (SAP, PHPP or similar).
  • Domestic Energy Assessor/Retrofit Assessor (desirable).
What We're Looking For
  • Level 5 Diploma in Domestic Retrofit Coordination & Risk Management.
  • Accreditation as a Retrofit Coordinator.
  • Domestic retrofit experience.
  • Construction or M&E management experience.
  • Familiarity with MS Office & Microsoft 365.
  • Strong understanding of Building Physics and retrofit impacts.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car with business insurance.
