Salary range: £28,177pa & Excellent Benefits

Contract: Permanent - Full Time

Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7 to include weekends and evenings. Operating hours 8am - 8pm some later nights required for events

As our Restaurant Manager, you’ll ensure the smooth running of our restaurants, room service delivery and functions across the village and for our on-site care home.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • Managing the staff rota, ensuring there’s appropriate cover at all times and within budget.

  • Leading on staff management duties such as recruiting, training and mentoring new members of the front of house team, adhering to Richmond Village standards at all times.

  • Supervising front of house staff to ensure correct procedures are followed.

  • Supporting with the organisation of functions as required, including liaising with the kitchen team, arranging menus and organising seating plans.

  • Ensuring that each service is managed to the highest standard, including serving meals, setting up tables, serving drinks from the bar and keeping the dining rooms tidy.

  • Managing alternative meal choice requests as required and ensuring customer’s dietary requirements are adhered to.

  • Ensuring the smooth and friendly delivery of room service meals.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

You’ll have experience of managing a team in a hospitality or catering environment and hold a CIEH Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety (or equivalent). Self-motivated and a great communicator, you’ll develop relationships with our residents, always using a person-centred approach. Organised and flexible with a professional attitude, you’re a great team player but can also work under your own initiative. Always leading by example, you know the importance of creating and delivering an excellent hospitality experience.

Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
