Overview

We are seeking a Resource Planning & BI Manager to lead our Workforce Planning and MI/Insight functions within the Operational Excellence team in ADP’s Services organization!

Location: Preferably our Cheadle office however we are also open to someone being based out of our Staines office

Hybrid working: 3 days in office and 2 days from home

This role is responsible for shaping and driving our resource strategy, capacity planning, performance reporting, and business intelligence across UK, Ireland, and Sweden. You will manage a team that includes Planning Analysts and MI & Insight Analysts, ensuring the delivery of accurate forecasts, productivity monitoring, operational insights, and leadership reporting that enable optimal service performance and informed decision-making.

As a strategic thought partner to Service Delivery and Senior Leadership, you will elevate data-driven planning, enhance operational transparency, and lead continuous improvement in planning and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Planning and MI/Insight team to deliver accurate capacity models, forecasts, dashboards, and operational insights
  • Own the end-to-end workforce planning lifecycle, including headcount management, scheduling, FWR, ASH, and resource allocation
  • Ensure high-quality, timely MI reporting to internal stakeholders and clients, using Power BI and other visualisation tools
  • Oversee analysis of client and service performance data, including Voice of Client and Medallia insights, to influence service strategy
  • Partner with leadership to align capacity and headcount plans with budget forecasts and transformation initiatives
  • Develop and embed BI frameworks and best practices to enhance service visibility, transparency, and root cause analysis
  • Oversee the implementation of planning tools and reporting solutions; drive system/process improvements and automation
  • Support and challenge operational teams with evidence-based insight to influence behaviours and drive accountability
  • Provide leadership visibility into operational KPIs, highlighting risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence within the Planning & BI function
Skills & Competencies

Leadership & Strategy: Proven experience managing high-performing analytical or planning teams, ideally in a shared services or service delivery context. Ability to think strategically and translate data into operational and financial impact.

Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and workforce planning/forecasting tools. Strong data visualisation and storytelling capabilities; experience in SQL or data modelling is a plus.

Analytical Thinking: High level of analytical capability, with ability to spot trends, influence planning decisions, and identify root causes.

Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of operational planning, productivity metrics (FWR, ASH), MI, and shared services models.

Communication & Collaboration: Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Operations, or a related field—or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in resource planning, business intelligence, or service performance analytics
  • People leadership experience in a matrixed, fast-paced, data-driven environment is essential
