Role Summary

Seeking a highly organised, motivated and compassionate teacher to support pupils within a specialist Resource Base provision. This interim role involves working with children across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering high‑quality teaching and targeted SEMH support to meet a wide range of individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support pupils within a specialist SEMH Resource Base
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with EYFS and KS1-KS2 curricula
• Implement trauma‑informed approaches to support emotional regulation and wellbeing
• Provide inclusive support for pupils with a range of SEND needs
• Contribute to planning, reviewing and supporting EHCP outcomes
• Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and external professionals
• Maintain high expectations to ensure all pupils can succeed

Essential Skills & Experience

• Qualified teacher with experience in a primary school setting (EYFS-KS2)
• Strong understanding of SEMH and SEND support strategies
• Knowledge of trauma‑informed and social‑emotional learning approaches
• Experience or willingness to learn EYFS continuous provision planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reflective practitioner committed to professional development

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs, including annual review processes
• Previous experience in a Resource Base or specialist provision
• Strong multi‑agency working experience
• Confident in leading small‑group or individualised interventions
