Overview

The role involves supporting the residential property team with all aspects of conveyancing, from file opening to post-completion tasks. You'll manage documentation, liaise with clients and third parties, and ensure smooth progression of property transactions.

The Residential Property team supports a broad range of clients including private individuals, investors, and developers, many of whom are based in London and the surrounding areas. Clients value the firm's approachable style, efficiency, and ability to navigate complex transactions with clarity and precision. Description
  • Managing the file opening process, including AML procedures
  • Drafting and sending client care letters and relevant forms
  • Applying for management packs and property searches
  • Preparing contract packs and supporting exchange processes
  • Handling post-exchange tasks including transfer deeds, mortgage documentation, and Land Registry searches
  • Completing SDLT returns, AP1 forms, and other post-completion filings
  • Responding to Land Registry requisitions and finalising registrations
  • Closing files and managing client refunds
Profile
  • Prior experience in residential conveyancing is essential
  • Familiarity with case management systems (e.g., Access/DPS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
