I am currentlyworking with a well-established and reputable law firm that is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal or Legal Executive to join their successful Real Estate department based in Brighton.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, diverse, and proactive team where you’ll be exposed to high-quality residential and commercial property work, supporting an experienced fee-earner and gaining valuable hands‑on experience.

You will assist in the running of live files and support your supervisor across all aspects of conveyancing transactions, from initial instruction through to post‑completion. The position offers both challenge and variety, with genuine opportunities for career progression within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with all stages of conveyancing transactions (instruction to completion)
  • Opening new files and completing AML compliance checks
  • Preparing reports on title, mortgages, and searches (with supervision)
  • Raising and reviewing enquiries on title, contracts, searches, and surveys (with supervision)
  • Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and solicitors to progress matters efficiently
  • Drafting financial statements and invoices
  • Managing exchange, completion, and post‑completion formalities
  • Handling general administrative tasks and updating internal and external systems
  • Providing excellent client service and maintaining strong working relationships
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous paralegal or legal executive experience within a conveyancing environment is essential
  • Good working knowledge of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion
  • Experience raising enquiries, reviewing replies, and drafting reports (under supervision)
  • Ideally holds relevant legal qualifications (CILEX or equivalent), though training support is available for alternative qualification routes
  • Confident, organised, and able to work effectively to timescales
  • Commercially aware, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a proactive and flexible approach
