Job summary

A children's support organization is seeking a Children's Support Worker in Staffordshire to provide child-centred care for young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Responsibilities include promoting positive behavior, supporting education and daily living, and maintaining care records. Ideal candidates will have experience working with youth and be willing to work a flexible rota including nights and weekends. Qualifications

  • Experience in residential care, SEN, SEMH, education, or youth work.
  • Ability to work a shift rota including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Training in Team Teach, MAPA, or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent, child-centred care and emotional support.
  • Promote positive behavior, boundaries, and daily routines.
  • Support young people with education, activities, appointments.
  • De-escalate challenging situations using approved approaches.
  • Maintain accurate records following care plans and procedures.

Education
