Job description

As RLO, you will be the main point of contact for residents whose homes are undergoing works. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring residents remain informed, supported and confident throughout the project lifecycle, while helping the site and project teams deliver work with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as primary liaison between residents, site/project teams and clients.
  • Clearly communicate project scope, timelines, schedule of works, and any potential impacts to residents (e.g. access arrangements, service disruptions)
  • Manage resident consultations, including letters, notices, newsletters or resident‑charter documentation where appropriate.
  • Handle resident enquiries, concerns or complaints in a sensitive, timely and professional manner; elevate matters when required.
  • Coordinate access arrangements and appointments with tenants (e.g. scheduling site visits, surveys, works).
  • Attend meetings with residents, clients and project teams; produce reports and keep accurate records of interactions, access logs, complaints and resolutions.
  • Support vulnerable residents where needed, ensuring their needs and concerns are carefully considered and addressed.
Person Specification / Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a Resident Liaison Officer, Tenant Liaison Officer, or similar resident‑/tenant‑facing role in construction, refurbishment or social housing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you should be approachable, empathetic, and able to build trust and rapport with residents.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, keep accurate records, and follow through on commitments.
  • Basic IT proficiency (email, Word, Excel or similar) to support documentation, reporting and communication tasks.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness/flexibility to travel to different sites as required.
  • Professional, respectful attitude — especially when working with residents from diverse backgrounds and varying needs (including elderly or vulnerable individuals). Ability to handle sensitive situations discretely and compassionately.
Why This Role?

Joining the team means you'll be working for a contractor committed to delivering high-quality refurbishment, remedial and new‑build projects — from void and occupied properties, to electrical, roofing and structural works. With a safety‑first culture, experienced project management and strong operational backbone, you'll have the support you need to excel as the RLO and be a valued part of the delivery process.

If you are organised, people‑oriented and passionate about resident care and communication — this role offers a chance to make a real difference on site, working on diverse projects in and around Digby and beyond.
