Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual for fixed-term part-time (0.2 FTE) research project administrator post. Working with a team of researchers in the School of Veterinary Medicine you will be providing administrative support for an exciting new research project funded by the Medical Research Council, which aims to investigate emergence of resistance to deworming drugs in Southeast Asia and identify alternative control strategies for intestinal worm infections. The project involves collaboration with partners in Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand.

Responsibilities

• Organise project meetings, communicate with project partners and book travel.
• Assist with drafting project reports.
• Contribute to raising the external project profile through establishing a project webpage and posting on social media channels.

Key Qualifications

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience of working with colleagues from different countries.
• Knowledge and understanding of infectious disease biology and transmission is desirable.

Effective administration is essential to delivery of the research project. Working hours can be discussed based on your availability and the needs of the project.
