WANT AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK AS A RESEARCH NURSE

Previous research experience not essential*, but a passion for research is!

Do you have excellent organisation skills, thrive on being accurate and ensuring high levels of attention to detail?

22.5 hours per week – Permanent

Main duties of the job

As part of the team you will work directly with research participants in various settings across the full range of services in health and social care, following study protocols to ensure participant safety and providing a quality experience.

A broad experience, working in your professional role in the community and mental health would be an advantage. Ability to prioritise and organise your workload is essential. This is a hybrid role with regular support.

Additional Requirements - Essential
  • Able to accommodate hybrid working, physically at home and periodically in office
  • Ability to travel throughout the Livewell Southwest Footprint
  • Ability to work alone with patients in their homes, in accordance with the Lone Working Policy
  • Ability to travel independently across the Southwest Peninsula when required
  • Demonstrate a passion to be fully research‑active and act as a champion to promote a research culture throughout Livewell Southwest and amongst its service users

  • A full UK driving licence
Knowledge - Essential
  • Computer literacy including ability to work with databases
  • Understand the significance of research and use of validated results to improve practice

  • Knowledge of the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research and Good Clinical Practice Guidelines
  • Knowledge of clinical trials & research methodologies
  • Understanding of data collection and data entry for clinical trials
