CGD Europe, an independent, non-partisan research organisation, seeks a full-time Research Assistant for its Global Health Policy programme. The successful candidate will contribute to our research, policy analysis, and outreach relating to UK global health policies and wider UK development policies. The Research Assistant will conduct quantitative and qualitative research, writing, and editing for policy papers, studies, and reports; assist in monitoring developments in the UK and the wider development policy environment; and provide administrative and programmatic support in relation to programme activities. Examples of work under the Global Health Policy programme include analysis of how to get the greatest health impact from limited UK bilateral and multilateral spend on global health, and how the UK can provide technical assistance.
The candidate must demonstrate a passion for improving development policy, as well as outstanding analytical skills, both in academic research and applied policy analysis. They will be self-motivated and organised, and excellent at communicating policy-relevant ideas.
The post-holder will report to the Global Health Policy Programme’s Deputy Director,Pete Baker , and work in close collaboration withIan Mitchell , co-director of the Europe programme.
