Overview

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a Repairs Chargehand / Supervisor to join North West Leicestershire District Council's Home Improvement Team on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week (Mon - Fri).

Main Duties
  • Supervising and supporting operatives to deliver component replacement works
  • Ensuring all works comply with current regulations, manufacturer instructions, and health & safety policies
  • Managing workloads effectively to meet deadlines and project timescales
  • Liaising with the Asset Management Support Team to ensure efficient job scheduling
  • Providing a high level of customer service in a tenant-facing environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Minimum 12 months' experience supervising a team of operatives
  • Proven trade background, ideally within social housing
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Commitment to health and safety compliance
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
Mandatory Training & Certification
