Job summary

A recruitment agency in Greater London is seeking a Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor to support a social housing team. You will be responsible for conducting property surveys, diagnosing issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant experience and strong knowledge in diagnostics of damp and disrepair. This is a full-time, temporary role offering £36 per hour.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years' experience in social housing, surveying or property maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of damp, mould and disrepair diagnostics.
  • Understanding of CDM 2015, HHSRS, and housing legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out property inspections across a housing portfolio.
  • Diagnose damp, mould, and general disrepair issues.
  • Identify maintenance needs and recommend solutions.
  • Plan and schedule works with the maintenance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with building regs and safety standards.

Skills

Experience in social housing, surveying or property maintenance
Knowledge of damp, mould and disrepair diagnostics
Good IT skills
Ability to produce clear reports
Full clean UK driving licence

Education

GCSEs A-C in Maths & English (or equivalent)
HNC/Degree in Surveying/Construction (desirable)

Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor

£36 per hour

Location: Ealing / Mobile (London & South East)

Contract: Temp, Full-Time, 35 hrs (Mon-Fri)

Multi Trades Recruitment are hiring six Surveyors to support a social housing Repairs & Maintenance team. You will be carrying out property surveys, diagnosing issues such as damp/mould and disrepair, and ensuring homes remain safe, compliant and well-maintained.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Carry out property inspections across a housing portfolio
  • Diagnose damp, mould and general disrepair issues
  • Identify maintenance needs and recommend solutions
  • Plan and schedule works with the maintenance teams
  • Ensure compliance with building regs, safety standards and CDM
  • Survey homes for Aids & Adaptations or resident-funded improvements
  • Produce clear technical reports and specifications
  • Manage costs using NHF Schedule of Rates (M3NHF)
  • Monitor contractor performance and address service issues
  • Handle complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction
What You'll Need
  • At least 2 years' experience in social housing, surveying or property maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of damp, mould and disrepair diagnostics
  • Understanding of CDM 2015, HHSRS and housing legislation
  • Experience with NHF Schedule of Rates (M3NHF)
  • Good IT skills and ability to produce clear reports
  • Full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • HNC/Degree in Surveying/Construction (desirable, not essential)
  • GCSEs A-C in Maths & English (or equivalent)
