You’ll lead from the desktop, managing daily workflows, monitoring performance data, and ensuring operatives deliver safe, timely, and high‑quality repairs for residents.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate daily operational delivery for reactive maintenance.
  • Allocate and manage daily workloads (whip sheets) across operatives.
  • Review, validate, and optimise Schedule of Rates (SOR) coding for all completed works.
  • Supervise and support operatives remotely, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
  • Liaise closely with planners, admin, supervisors, and client teams to maintain workflow and communication.
  • Carry out quality and compliance checks via desktop review and targeted site visits where required.
  • Monitor KPIs including first‑time fix rates, job closures, and productivity.
  • Support continual improvement in SOR efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost control.
  • Prepare and present performance and productivity reports to management.
  • Promote Axis culture of safety, professionalism, and resident care.
About You

You’re a detail‑driven professional with a strong understanding of housing disrepair legislation and property maintenance. You combine technical knowledge with excellent communication and negotiation skills, ensuring residents’ needs are met while safeguarding the organisation.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in social housing repairs or maintenance supervision (desktop or field‑based).
  • Strong SOR knowledge and understanding of productivity and value management.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage operatives and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
  • Competent with job management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A positive, proactive approach to teamwork and resident service.
  • Full UK driving licence (for occasional site visits).
Our Commitment

You’re a strong communicator with a keen eye for detail, comfortable managing data and people simultaneously. You thrive in a fast‑paced, problem‑solving environment, balancing operational priorities with accuracy, compliance, and service quality.

  • Competitive annual salary
  • Company van and fuel card for work purposes
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Up to £2,000 colleague referral fee
